I understand that hiring a new tutor can be something of a crapshoot, so I have included some sample instructional videos at the bottom of the page to help provide a sense of who I am.
My tutoring services are designed for students of all levels inluding those in grade school, high school, and college. I have taught to some of the more popular standardized exams like the SAT, AP subject tests, GRE and MCAT. I have also worked with professionals as they attempt to build new understanding or fill in gaps in their knowledge. My specialty areas include:
- Classical Mechanics
- Electricity & Magnetism
- Optics
- Quantum Mechanics

- Astronomy & Astrophysics
- Elementary Math

My teaching technique provides each student with independent attention and an individualized rubric based upon specific needs. Utilizing a combination of textbooks, problem sets and prior examinations, I employ pedagogical techniques that have been refined through years of education research not only to ensure that students answer problems correctly, but also to guarantee enduring qualitative understanding. A typical session with me combines lecturing to introduce the main concepts, followed by a period of directed inquiry to help students directly engage with the material.
GROUP TUTORING POSSIBILITIES: I have experienced great success in employing group tutoring. Each additional student reduces the per hour rate, and friends often choose to work together in this environment on problem sets and test preparation. Frequently, useful questions and discussions are created by one student that another might not have thought of.
I find it most valuable to discuss teaching opportunities and rates on a case-by-case basis. My schedule is extremely flexible, and by working with me directly you can cut out the middleman, i.e. tutoring services and marketplaces that love to charge a premium. So if you are looking for a Baltimore physics tutor or a Baltimore math tutor, I encourage you to contact me directly by email at tutorinbaltimore@gmail.com or call (410) 914-7732. I also offer online instruction for those who prefer to work remotely. For a more detailed look at my experience, I invite you to peruse my curriculum vitae. Cheers!
